L2 AERDB (Aerosol Deep Blue) File Name Convention
Continuity Atmosphere Product NetCDF4 files are named using a standardized convention as displayed below.
Note that for the filename sample shown below:
Aerosol
The Aerosol Product monitors aerosol type, aerosol optical thickness, particle size distribution, aerosol mass concentration, optical properites, and radiative forcing. The ESDT names are MOD04_L2 (Terra) and MYD04_L2(Aqua).

Introduction
L3 AERDT (Aerosol Dark Target) Product Description
The L3 Continuity Aerosol Deep Blue product is a Level-3 product generated 1x1 degree spatial resolution. The L3 Continuity Aerosol Deep Blue product file always has a prefix of AERDT_D3 or AERDT_M3, and contains data collected from SNPP/VIIRS. it should be noted that as of January 2020, the Level-3 AERDT product (AERDT_D3 and/or AERDT_M3) are not yet available.

L2 AERDT (Aerosol Dark Target) Product Description
The L2 Continuity Aerosol Dark Target product is a Level-2 product generated at 6x6 km (VIIRS, at nadir) spatial resolution. The L2 Continuity Aerosol Dark Target data product file always has a prefix of AERDT_L2 and contains data collected from the SNPP/VIIRS platform.
